BioCONELRAD = CONtrol of ELectromagnetic RADiation. Predecessor to the Emergency Broadcast System, ancestor to the Emergency Alert System. Would have failed spectacularly if we had ever actually needed to use it.
If you ever need to know anything about 1950s nuclear paranoia in the United States, I'm probably your woman. Unfortunately, discussing "blast zone radius" makes for poor dinner conversation with most people.
I aspire to make a living off of a combination of my typing speed + writing ability (plastic surgery is too expensive). And yes, I can usually write better than my journal entries would lead you to believe.
Re: userpics...they're all ripped off and I don't know who to credit, I got them a while back (but it sure wasn't me who made them). Apologies if you recognize your work.
